Question: But God, apes and other similar animals are not carnivorous? Why are we not like them?

If you are not careful, it can lead to protein deficiency

Meaning: Sallow means: (of a person's face or complexion) of an unhealthy yellow or pale brown color.19

God is referring to vitamin B12 deficiency, of which having a pale or yellow (jaundice-like) complexion may be a symptom of B12 deficiency.
